Congratulations to all the finalists and this year's winners at the annual Salute staff recognition ceremony!
- The event, held May 7 at the 小黄鸭导航 ISD Performing Arts Center, included with students from Blazier Elementary 小黄鸭导航 and a celebrating the honorees.
Why it matters: Our teachers and staff are the heart of our district, and do so much to support our students each and every day. Celebrations like these are just one way to amplify the joy of education and the impact happening in 小黄鸭导航 ISD schools.
This year, the ceremony featured some special additions:
- Eastside Early College High 小黄鸭导航 Seniors Zula Dariah and Sofia Rosales served as Emcees and Gisselle Ramirez was the Student Assistant Director.
- Lee Lewis Campbell Elementary Media and Performing Arts Institute First-Grade student ZaNyla Williams and Oak Springs Elementary 小黄鸭导航 Principal Cynthia Sinegal served as the 鈥淰oices of Salute.鈥
We also honored McCallum Head Band Director Carol Nelson as the recipient of the inaugural ICON AWARD.
- The award was presented by Superintendent Matias Segura and Board President Lynn Boswell in honor of Ms. Nelson鈥檚 46 years with 小黄鸭导航 ISD.

Los Premios Salute de 2025 les rinden honor a los maestros y el personal
隆Felicitaciones a todos los finalistas y ganadores de este a帽o en la ceremonia Salute anual de reconocimiento del personal!
- El evento, que tuvo lugar el 7 de mayo en el Centro de Artes Esc茅nicas del 小黄鸭导航 ISD, incluy贸 de estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Blazier y una para celebrar a los homenajeados.
Por qu茅 es importante: Nuestros maestros y personal son el coraz贸n de nuestro distrito y hacen mucho para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes todos los d铆as. Celebraciones como esta son solo una manera de amplificar la alegr铆a de la educaci贸n y el impacto en las escuelas del 小黄鸭导航 ISD.
Este a帽o, la ceremonia tuvo ciertas adiciones especiales:
- Las estudiantes de 煤ltimo a帽o de la Escuela Preparatoria de Universidad Temprana Eastside Zula Dariah y Sof铆a Rosales sirvieron como maestras de ceremonia, y Gisselle Ram铆rez fue la directora asistente estudiantil.
- La estudiante de primer grado del Instituto de Medios y Artes Esc茅nicas de la Primaria Lee Lewis Campbell, ZaNyla Williams, y la directora de la Escuela Primaria Oak Springs, Cynthia Sinegal, sirvieron como las "Voces de Salute".
Tambi茅n le rendimos honor a la directora principal de la banda de McCallum Carol Nelson como ganadora del PREMIO 脥CONO inaugural.
